Tuition fees and scholarships for Master's degrees
For Finnish and EU/EEA citizens there are no tuition fees when participating in the programme. Also international applicants with the Finnish residence permit A (excluding residence permit A for students), P or Brexit permit are exempted from the tuition fee.
For non-EU/EEA students, the tuition fee is 10,000 € for one academic year and 5000 € for each additional semester to complete the program. Please note that a supplemental scholarship is provided by Oamk to tuition-paying students who accomplish the studies within the set target time (1 academic year/60 credits, 1,5 academic year/90 credits). The scholarship is 2500 € for one academic year and 1250 € for one semester. The scholarship is applied and awarded retrospectively. Graduating student is advised about applying the scholarship when he/she is applying for degree diploma.
From the spring 2020 onward, new selected tuition-fee-paying students, who have applied through joint application system and confirm their study place and enroll present for the upcoming academic year within the 7 days from receiving the study place are awarded early bird discount of 2000€. This means that the tuition fee for the Master's degrees for first academic year is 8000€.
In addition there is a Finnish language scholarship available to all students who by the Finnish law are required to pay tuition fees. The scholarship is also available for those applicants who are exempted for paying the tuition fee based on their residence permit. With this scholarship Oamk wishes to encourage its students to learn Finnish language and this way help them to integrate into Finnish society and find their own place in it. Therefore, students who take and pass the Finnish National Certificate of Language Proficiency in Finnish language on the level B1 are awarded with extra scholarship of 2000€.
All scholarships are taxable under Finnish legislation.
Brexit
From 2022 onward, UK citizens residing in Finland as well as their family members should hold right of residence under the withdrawal agreement (Brexit permit) in order to be exempted from the tuition fee. The permit must be granted by Finnish Immigration Services.
Applicants who are UK citizens and do not hold right of residence under the withdrawal agreement are required to pay the tuition fee. There are scholarships available.
