The Final Seminar of the TallWood project was organized on September 27-28, 2022 in Oulu, Finland. The seminar was held on the Oulu University of Applied Sciences (OUAS) campus in Linnanmaa.
First on the program was the TallWood project final partner meetings. The persons responsible for the Work Packages presented their outcomes in the project. It was stated at the meeting that the Work Packages had been implemented successfully.
In the afternoon started the TallWood seminar program. The afternoon session was aimed at various presentations and corporate guests from different companies. Ville Isoherranen, Dean of Eng. & Nat. Resources School (OUAS) opened the afternoon session and gave a presentation about The School of Engineering & Natural Resources. Arman Kouch, Chairman of the seminar and Project Manager from OUAS, gave the introduction to the Tallwood project.
First the members of the organizations implementing the Tallwood project gave various presentations related to the topic. After the coffee break, it was time for presentations by the invited company guests. Hannu Savela, Development manager from Woodcomp, Finland presented about TBD. Lauri Lepikonmäki, Design Manager from Sweco Oy, Finland gave a presentation about High wooden construction.
Mikko Löf Technical Director from Kontiotuote, Finland presented about Kontio Block. And lastly Tommy Persson and Alfred Wikner, R&D manager and Quality and product engineer from Masonite Beams, Sweden gave a presentation about TBD. All the presentations were interesting and offered new information related to the topic. In the end of the interesting seminar day was time for the free discussion.
The next day, the TallWood final seminar program included a visit to the Woodcomp company's factory in Raahe. Then it was time for the visitors to return home. Thanks to all guests and presenters for a great seminar!
