Applicants should fill in the online application at www.studyinfo.fi and attach the copied of their higher education degree in addition to advanced assignment to their application.
Advanced assignment must turn in before the entrance interviews and it should include:
1. Cover letter
2. Curriculum vitae
3. Preliminary plan describing a development challenge
The advance assignment is evaluated on a scale of approved / rejected.
Note: the documents should be submitted in English and as a pdf-format electronic document by the end of the application period (a link will be added). If necessary, the document may include links to, for example, videos or home pages. It is the applicant's responsibility that the links function properly. The cover letter should be minimum 600 words. The purpose of the cover letter is to outline the applicant's motivation and to share his / her interests and goals and the readiness to study in the program. In practice, it explains the reason why the applicant should be accepted as a student. The applicant describes his / her career and plans and how the studies are related to it.
The applicant also presents how he / she intends to organize the studies taking into account work and life situation. The applicant also evaluates his / her current skills in relation to the curriculum of the applied education. The curriculum vitae should be presented in a tight format. It should show, among other things, completed studies, work history and a list of publications if applicable. The preliminary plan should demonstrate at least one key challenge from the applicant's previous (or current) work place environment which is in need of an innovative education solution. In additional application the deadline for advanced assignment is 11 July 2019 at 15.00.
There are two parts: Advance assignment and interview. In the advanced assignment, points are given based on: - thesis grade - work experience - other demonstrations of the applicant's skills (greatest emphasis) All eligible candidates who have submitted an approved advance assignment will be invited to a selection test and interview.
The interview period will take place between 3 and 9 April 2019. In additional application the interviews take place on 29 July- 2 August. The selection exam consists of a pre-job assignment and an interview (100 points total). In order to be admitted, the applicant must receive at least 20 points for the entrance examination and have met all other requirements. The skill of the applicant's English is evaluated on the basis of prior assignments and the interview.
